Who we are
QLess Health is the focused expression of a platform that has run quietly under millions of visits for years. Now it is rebuilt, top to bottom, for the patients and clinicians who deserve it.
Our story
Healthcare has a waiting problem nobody defends. The average US patient waits eighteen minutes after their appointment time before a clinician walks in. They wait twenty more days, on average, just to book the appointment in the first place. About a quarter of them won't come back if that experience repeats. None of this is news to anyone who runs a hospital, a clinic, or a lab. What's new is that there's no longer a good reason for it.
QLess has spent ten years running visitor flow for DMVs, campuses, and clinics. That's where the reliability comes from. What healthcare needed on top of it was different: multi-step visits, patient vocabulary, scheduling rules that understand a care plan rather than a queue.
Most of what gets sold as "patient experience software" only handles the easy parts — the scheduling form, the satisfaction survey. The hard parts get punted to staff: the routing rules nobody owns, the EHR sync that breaks on Tuesdays, the real-time visibility that arrives a week late, the moment-to-moment communication the patient never gets. QLess Health takes those on. We treat compliance as a starting point, plain language as a design choice, the front-desk nurse as the most important person in the building, and every patient survey as a chance to learn how to do better tomorrow.
We're building the patient experience layer that health systems choose, not the queue tool they tolerate. The work is to make every visit feel calmer, faster, and a little more human. Wait less. Care more.
Mission
Help every patient spend less time waiting and more time being cared for.
Vision
A US healthcare system where access is dignified, predictable, and human — at every touchpoint, in every facility.
How this is built
QLess Health runs on the QLess platform. Underneath sits a core that handles data collection, storage, and governance — the same core that has carried millions of visits across public sector and higher education for a decade. Above it, an integration layer holds both the connections every application shares and the ones specific to healthcare, including EHR systems.
Tempo for Healthcare sits on top. The scheduling logic, the visit flow, the vocabulary — those are ours, built for outpatient care, not configured into it. A campus and a cancer center do not schedule the same way, and we stopped pretending they did.
That split is deliberate. The core is proven, so we don't rebuild infrastructure for every specialty. The application is specific, so nothing arrives as a generic queue tool wearing a healthcare label.
